More Happy Hill Shipping Progress...

Hey, Happy Hillers! We've shipped out a whole lot more Happy Hill packages over the past couple of days.
We've shipped just about all of the multiple shipping group orders, and what we're left with are mostly the one-off unique custom orders with add-ons, or special orders with product that hasn't arrived yet.
We got a chunk of the Happy Hill Collector's Boxes out the door today, but still have some more to ship this week.
We're still waiting on HAPPY HILL #1 METAL, SINK #1 METAL and THE RED TEN #1 METAL covers to come back from the metalsmith, so if you're order contained any of those add-ons, we're holding it until those books come in, which should be by the end of the month or early next.

SHIPPING HAS COMMENCED!
The team was so pumped about the books arriving that we've wasted NO TIME in starting the process of sorting, boarding & backing, picking packing and shipping. In fact, we just dropped the first large wave of books off at the post office a few minutes ago!
As of now, we've sent out rewards to 59% of all backers, with the initial wave of books going to our most common pledge level, which was backers getting the HAPPY HILL #1AB Sets Only.
Next up, we're working on getting the rest of the variant covers bagged and boarded, and we will start to assemble the Happy Hill Welcome Bags and Guest VIP Boxes and other more complicated orders. It's a big project, and we estimate it may take about 2 weeks to get everything out the door.
When your package is shipped, you'll receive tracking numbers from us sent through Backerkit.

Books are Printed! Plus Where to Find Rich & Joe @ NYCC!

Hey, Happy Hillers! Hope all is well with you as Fall gets rolling. Things continue to move forward with Happy Hill #1 fulfillment.
We got word last week that all of our books had been printed and were finishing up the binding/stitching phase and getting packed up. We're hopeful books will be in our hands by the end of the week or next week, which will mean we can start bagging, boarding and packing and shipping them out to you.
Bags & Boards
Speaking of bags and boards, if you're a collector, you may have also noticed that bags and boards for comic books have been a little harder to come by lately. Actually had a chat with one of my local retailers, who was all out of modern sized bags and didn't expect any in for a while from his supplier. Comic bag & board supply chain disruption is yet another gift from the pandemic, I guess.
Over the past month, we've been trying to stock up on bags and boards, ordering them off Amazon when we can... sometimes the orders go through, but they usually get delayed. We want to make sure your books arrive in great condition, but if we're unable to source enough bags and boards to individually bag and board every single book, what we may do is for the Happy Hill #1AB cover sets, which most physical backers are receiving, we may use a single bag and board for the set, rather than individually bag each book. Just making this one move will mean we'll need about 400 less bags and boards... and lower the chances that things get delayed because we can't source enough bags and boards in a timely manner.
Again, we'll only do this if we have to. We will also be using Gemini Comic Supply flash mailers to make sure your books arrive in great condition.
More Product Arriving!
As we continue to wait for those books to arrive, some more cool Happy Hill swag is arriving as well. The VIP Guest box came out great, as did the Happy Hill Enamel Pin!

We also wanted to let you know that Rich & Joe will be at New York Comic Con Artist Alley Table L-4! They'll have some of the New York Comic Con Exclusive Happy Hill #1 covers and will be happy to sign them. Plus, Joe will have some Happy Hill #1 artist edition sketch covers available as well.
If you are attending the New York Comic Con and would like to put in a commission request for a Joe Mulvey sketch, he tells me he has 2 or 3 commission spots left often at max. So, if you'd like to get one in... contact Joe via Twitter and get in your request!
Next Comic Up: Dig #1
Now, we know you're thrilled about Happy Hill, and we're focusing on getting those books out the door over the next few weeks... but hot on its heels will be an extra special launch most of our fans have been dying for: DIG #1!

We're using Backerkit's Distribution and Download system to make accessing and downloading your digital deluxe rewards super easy.
If for some reason you can't locate your digital rewards in your inbox, all you have to do is

Once you've accessed your Happy Hill Pledge Manager, you should see a button at the top of your pledge page that says "GET YOUR DIGITAL DOWNLOADS."
Just click on that, and you'll be able to access the Digital Files associated with your pledge level.
PRODUCTION IS MOVING RIGHT ALONG
We've ordered all the product for this campaign, and some of it has started to arrive. The books are still printing, and some of the specialty covers are getting some extra love and attention... and we know you're going to be thrilled with the end result.
We'll keep you posted on fulfillment updates as we get closer to receiving product in hand... in the meantime, we getting bags and boards ready to roll so we can sleeve your books before we ship them to make sure they arrive in great shape.
Official Direct Market Release Dates
We also have big news about the official direct market aka Local comic shop Wednesday release date for Happy Hill #1... Happy Hill will be in shops world wide, distributed through Diamond in January 2022. As Kickstarter backers, you'll be getting your books in advance of everyone else... but we certainly hope you'll put a good word in with your friendly neighborhood comics slinger, as Happy Hill #1 will be in the NOVEMBER 2021 Previews.
This'll also let you know that you can expect the following release schedule in the direct market for the rest of the series:
- Happy Hill #1 - January '22
- Happy Hill #2 - February '22
- Happy Hill #3 - March '22
- Happy Hill #4 - April '22
- Happy Hill #5 - May '22
QUESTION: Do You Want to See Future Issues of Happy Hill on Kickstarter?
In the past, we've only used Kickstarter for first issues and trade collections. However, Kickstarter has also grown as a platform, and we know many backers now purchase all or most of their comics on Kickstarter... so we're considering doing follow up issue launches on Kickstarter as well.
Thoughts?
You all are a big part of the reason this book exists, so we want to hear from you.
Three options we're considering are:
1) Serialize Happy Hill on Kickstarter with shorter, smaller launches for each issue.
2) Wait until the trade is ready and launch that on Kickstarter.
3) Do a few multiple issue launches (ex. Happy Hill #2-3, and #4-5).
Let us know what YOU would like to see us do... or if you don't care either way!

First Two Metal Books Arrived!
Super exciting to get the first shipment of ComixTribe #1 Metal books in! As we said, this is the first time we've offered metal covers...
...and right off the bat the weight definitely surprised me.
We were glad to see that these metal covers were a hit with our fans as we've sold a bunch through Backerkit Add-Ons already. We'll definitely consider rolling out more metal covers in the future!
