Hey, great news!
We just pushed past the $15K Stretch Goal... and as a result we're upgrading all HAPPY HILL #1B covers with a spot-uv cover treatment to really make those characters pop off the page!
Thanks so much to all of you who are on board and for spreading the good word about this campaign.
Late Night Kickstarter Chat
Last night, the Happy Hill team of Joe Mulvey and Rich Douek joined a couple of other awesome comic creator crowdfunders for a fun livestream chat!
Also there was Will Allred of Crossover Division fame and Geoff Weber, who's new project Bug Huntjust launched on Kickstarter.
It's a fun chat if you get the chance to watch the replay!
Have an awesome weekend!
- The ComixTribe Crew
P.S. Big shoutout to Marvel artist Tom Rasch who's latest project Black Alpha has a few days left on Kickstarter!
Black Alpha is a love letter to sci-fi and super heroes, with a high concept that asks what if Batman with Iron Man tech was dropped off in the middle of a Star Wars universe?
We've been a fan of Tom's work since his Punisher 2099 days, so it's cool to see this project move forward.
Tom is joined on this one by our friend Jon Roscetti (The Venture Bros.) and it looks top notch.
This one came in from Paul, and was seconded by a few other backers...
You got it!

P.S. Another delicious project recommendation for you today!
Kevin Joseph's series TART is one of the longest running series on Kickstarter, and we're thrilled to see it's back with another incredible installment.
Tart poses the question, "If a demon killed you, would you accept your eternal Heavenly rewards? Or would you risk your salvation to protect other innocent victims from the same fate?"
Kevin and standout artist Ludovic Salle are back with the lucky Thirteenth Chapter of Tart Acid's adventures, and this time Tart is trying to sneak her way into the fabled city of Atlantis to stop the cataclysmic event that wiped it from existence!
We're thrilled to see this series, which was picked up by SCOUT COMICS for direct market distribution continue to go on strong, and glad backers can get caught up on all things Tart and jump on board the new issue as well.

Hey, thank you SO much for an awesome livestream last night! We had a ton of fun answering questions and hanging out with some awesome backers while dishing out prizes left and right! If you missed it, here's the replay:
Note: If you won a prize during the broadcast, we'll be adding that prize to your pledge level!
Another Stretch Goal Unlocked!
We just skipped past the $14K mark, which means we're adding a second HAPPY HILL Postcard featuring Joe Mulvey art to every Happy Hill Welcome Bag! That $45 pledge level is looking mighty good these days, no?
And even better, next up, we're going to be upgrading every backer's HAPPY HILL #1B Cover with a SPOT UV gloss enhancement when we pass $15K!
For today's update, we thought it would be fun to take you behind the scenes and show you a little Happy Hill process using page 1 as an example.

PANEL 1-
Two men run frantically through the woods. Both are wearing one piece mechanic jump suits. They are running away from something. One is skinny and looks similar to Gene Wilder, this is Gene Lee Vander. Lagging behind him, huffing and puffing is his chubby and sweatier friend Eddie. Gene Lee Vander is carrying a duffle bag overflowing with money that is falling out.

Teamwork makes the dream work, my friends, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the team's work on this comic. Can't wait to get it into your hands!
- The ComixTribe Team
P.S. We also wanted to give a quick shout out to our pal Jeremy Haun, who is crushing it with his latest big Kickstarter launch called Haunthology!
When Covid caused many in the mainstream comics industry to go "pencils down" with Marvel and DC projects cancelled or postponed, Jeremy knew he needed to keep creating.
This collection is an oversized, 160+ page, hardcover of original short horror comics with 23 original black and white comics written and drawn by Jeremy Haun!
This project has been crushing stretch goals and amassing backers, and it's so great to see an industry veteran like Jeremy find success on the Kickstarter platform as well.

Hey, hope your July continues to rock and roll, just like this campaign is doing!
Earlier, we asked backers for suggestions for Happy Hill themed warm up sketches Joe Mulvey should draw while working on more Happy Hill.
And, well, you all came up with some interesting suggestions. Like this one from our good pal, George!
Well George, consider this CHALLENGE ACCEPTED:
Want to Own This Warm Up Sketch?

3) This awesome sketch is all yours... and you'll help get us another step closer to the next milestone...
And speaking of the next milestone...
ONE SPOT LEFT TO BE IMMORTALIZED!
We also wanted to let you know that there is only 1 spot left for our ULTIMATE TIER which gets you Immortalized in the Pages of Happy Hill!
Big thanks to the two amazing backers who went big on this launch and will be featured in the pages of the book... and a gentle nudge to the rest of you who were considering getting your likeness featured in a ComixTribe book with a bunch of other great rewards that there's just one spot left!
SURPRISE! HOUSE OF FEAR: DEAD LAKE #1 ADDED TO THE INDIE HORROR COMIC BONUS BUNDLE!
To acknowledge blowing past the $11K Funding Mark, we're hooking all of our backers up with a bonus bundle of indie horror comics from some creators we think you should be checking out!
Right now, this bundle will include 5 Cool Comics... who knows, we might expand it at a future stretch goal! We'll release the full list of titles you'll be getting, but wanted to let you know that HOUSE OF FEAR: Dead Lake #1 is one of the titles all backers will be receiving!
Four boys head out on their first solo camping adventure. They share scary stories around the campfire, including one about a monster escaping into the woods not far from where they are. The trip turns ugly fast when they uncover the truth: there really is a monster terrorizing the campground.
HOF: Dead Lake is written by James Powell, with art by Jethro Morales, Mike Erandio, and James Hislope, and the House of Fear series is incredible... so we wanted to hook you, the loyal ComixTribe backer, up with it as a part of supporting this launch!
REMINDER: The Joe Mulvey/ Rich Douek Livestream Q&A is TOMORROW NIGHT!
Submit your questions in advance here to be eligible for prizes and bring your cold beverage of choice for an awesome stream Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 8PM EDT.
The biggest, creepiest, most action-packed issue yet: 64 pages of monster-fighting fun!
Back with a monster-size 8th issue of House of Fear, the series that introduces kids to the thrills of scary stories. House of Fear blends everything you love about Goosebumps and Tales From the Crypt.
These launches are instant backs for us because James brings quality and heart to every project he touches.
TONIGHT! HAPPY HILL LIVE Q&A!
– Wed, Jul 28, 2021 at 09:08:53 PM
Hey, just a quick reminder that we will be going LIVE tonight at 8PM EDT to answer your Happy Hill creator questions and give out bonuses to some of the backers who submitted Qs for the broadcast!
We had a nice surge of backers and a big pledge come through, which mowed down TWO MORE STRETCH GOALS!
So, as of right now, not only are we upgrading all Happy Hill Welcome Bags to include double-sided bookmarks, but we're also going to be pulling together a HORROR COMICS ONLINE PANEL for next week. More details to come!
And don't look now, but we're already halfway toward unlocking another one!
Let's keep the Happy Hill thrill ride rolling!
Hope to see you tonight!
- Joe Mulvey, Rich Douek & Tyler James
P.S. Can't make it live? Don't worry, a replay will be made available.
P.P.S. Another Kickstarter gem you don't want to miss coming at you...
As the publisher of series such at THE RED TEN, SCAM and THE STANDARD, it should be no surprise that we're suckers for a great high concept superhero book!
So, it should be no surprise that we're all in on Steve Bryant's series about a skiptracer who goes after supervillains who miss their court date! Brilliant!
THE CATCH is Elmore Leonard meets Gotham Central, and at last it's launched in glorious trade collection format!
Steve is a pro, and we've loved his work since Athena Voltaire. This new series looks great and we're thrilled to see it funded and stretching on Kickstarter!
